Predeal, the pearl of mountain tourism

The highest town in the country is located on the crest dividing Valea Prahovei from Valea Timisului in a depression well sheltered from the mountain Bucegi, Baiu, Piatra Mare and Clabucet. The resort is 142 km from Bucharest, on the National Road 1 at 25 km from Sinaia and 25 km from Brasov. It is the Romanian town located at the highest altitude in the country between 1.030 - 1.110 metres. Internationally famous mountain resort Agrement, bio-climate, recovery, winter sports. The snow layer lasts for more than 100 days every year.

Tourists may accommodate in hotels, villas, boarding houses, chalets and in rooms for rental in private houses; they may benefit of ski slopes with safety measures and cable transportation. There are also ski schools, renting centres for sport materials, snowmobile and ATV centres, clubs, discos, spa centres, bowling and billiards centres in Predeal." declared Liviu Cocos, the Mayor of town Predeal.
