Dancing Dolls

Vama Buzaului town hall organized the first edition of the Craftsmen Fair. The „Dancing dolls” have been the delight of the artistic program, offered by the local kindergarden children who have just turned 3. Dressed in traditional clothes, the little children sang old songs and told riddles. They finally danced, like real dolls on stage.

Traditional Products

The event was also attended by school pupils who offered a folkloric program and created masks and items of waste paper and textiles. They were joined by the artisans of Vama Buzaului, Acris and Buzaiel, who exhibited traditional products: wattles, baskets, little chairs for children and stools for adults.

Coloured Masks

One of the stands made by the children was the „Coloured Masks”. As mayor Tiberiu Nicolae Chirilas stated, in making the masks the children followed their imagination, without being influenced by their teachers. Children entered thereby in the realm of the fairytales, where masked characters chase the bad spirits. The young artisans sold their products and will use the money for creative educational programs.
