The town-resort Predeal is located in the middle of the country, at the highest altitude in Romania, offering a large view on the surrounding mountains. On winter season, Predeal is invaded by tourist from all over the world. The resort is widely known for its large and shinny slopes, always covered with snow, thanks to performant artificial snow outfits.
Modernized Slopes
The nine slopes spread on o surface larger than 50 square km, while their length exceeds 10 km. Predeal has a new cable plant and the slopes were modernized. The value of Predeal as mountain resort was increased thanks to the 47th edition of the World Military Ski Championship organized last year on February 20-26, by the International Council of Military Sport, the Ministry of National Defence and Predeal townhall.
The winter sports lovers can also enjoy the snowboard, flat ski, biathlon, patrol on the slopes Clabucet and Valea Rasnoavei.
Outdoor shows
The official opening of the ski season in Predeal occasioned various games and contests on the slopes, extreme snowboard, cross and ski competitions, demonstrations, mountain rescuers and police, outdoor concerts, fire camps, descent with torches on the slope.
