The pedestrian area in front of the town hall Brasov hosts these days a mosaic and sculpture exhibition, the firs of its kind in Romania. The 13 works on display belong to the municipality, issued of the fifth edition of the National Symposium of Art, organized last year in partnership by town hall, the Ecoturism Trans Silva SVAP RO Vama Buzaului Association, the attorney office Vrincean Nicolae and the Romania?s Union of Artists ? subsidiary of Brasov.
Expensive and difficult Artifacts
The creation camp took place at Harman, on 15th-30th August. The symposium was organized at national level; all the 23 participant are professional artists, graduators of specialty courses. ?The sculpture in metal and the mosaic are much more expensive and difficult than the other artifacts. This is the first mosaic exhibition in Romania and we expect favorable reactions of the critics. All the works will accrue to the financers of the event. We hope we?ve done a good think? Nicolae Vrincea, the president of Ecoturism Trans Silva stated.
Permanent Exhibition
The event cost 60.000 ron, covering all the expenses, from the accommodation to the materials necessary to the creation process. The rest of the works are exhibited at Harman. George Scripcaru, the mayor of Brasov, allowed the artists to keep their works on display outdoor as long as they want, before exhibit them freely in a public place.
