The town hall of the commune is a public institution in the service of the citizens and a fact worthy of being appreciated is that this the only town hall from the rural environment from the country in which an office of European Integration and Local Development is functioning, having as purpose the improvement of the life conditions by adjusting the community to the standards required by the European Union. The commune disposes of a Clinical Human Health Unit, with consulting rooms both for adults and children, served by a specialist and two persons with a middle training, and in the last years it was build an imposing building with all the consulting rooms and facilities, including laboratories, with a view to satisfy the need of health of the population, as well as suits for the personnel.
Rich historical past
Rich in historical past, having its origins in prehistory, the commune disposes in the present of historical monuments: The Church Fortress of Halmeag, The Tower of the Evangelic Chapel from Sercaia Village, architectural constructions dating from the XVIII century, orthodox, evangelic, Adventist and Greek- Catholic places, houses made of wood as a taken of the past, but the commune disposes also of contemporary constructions: cultural clubs and public libraries, cinemas which reveal the population bent, especially the youth, towards the cultural universe. The ?Daffodils Glade? is located in the south part of the commune, being a unique monument in Europe and even in the world, as for the flora landscape and the area of 400 ha where it is spread, place where the traditional ?Daffodils Festival? is organized every year, opportunity for thousands of tourists who come to relax and to admire this beauty of the nature.
Light Industry
The industry of Sercaia has at its base units of wood processing (wood workshops), wood stocks, small enterprises of processing and development of the grain and animal products, units of building materials, small units of processing and manufacturing concrete products. It is estimated a continuous functioning at full capacity of a small enterprises of dairy products, with a modern technique and technology, also of a small industry of meat products processing, of a local butchery but also of other industrial and commercial units in order to accumulate available and qualified labor from the local market.
Hunting
The territory of Sercaia is included in the stage of depressions and hills of plateau and in respect of climate, the general laws as well as the laws determined by the geographical position are respected. The flora indicates the presence of four characteristic elements (the European element, cosmopolitical forms, forms of vegetation characteristic to other continents and other forms). The fauna is influenced by the relief, climate and hydrogeographic, its variety respecting the display between the hill regions and those of the mountain.
