A magnificent edition, on a stage the size of 1000 TV screens
The artists attending Golden Stag 2019, as either competitors or guests, performed on a 800 m2 stage, with 400 m2 of LED screens - the equivalent of 1,000 TV screens – and with more than 50,000 dismountable technical staging items. A classical concept stage that surprised spectators and TV viewers alike. The large scale show, long-awaited by the public, turned the Council Square in Brasov into a prestigious venue, both nationally and internationally.
A complete edition
Golden Stag 2019 was a complete edition, suiting all tastes, and broadcasted live by the Romanian Television between the 22nd and the 25th of August 2019.
The stage in the Council Square hosted the extraordinary recitals of artists such as Emeli Sandé, Ronan Keating, Ştefan Bănică jr and Irina Rimes.
The Romanian Television team prepared a format with two days of competition, an Awards Gala and ancillary events. The festival ended with a folkloric show that brought together traditional Romanian folk music and contemporaneous reinterpretations.
About Golden Stag
The International Festival Golden Stag was first held in 1968 and it had 18 editions, the last of them being organized in 2018, upon the celebration of 50 years as of the debut of the event. It became the largest international music festival organized in Romania and, traditionally, in Brasov. “Golden Stag” is more than a prestigious brand belonging to the National Romanian Television, it actually is a national brand, the festival performances enjoying an impressive audience and a large number of TV viewer.
Queen Performance
The Gala Evening of the 2019 Golden Stag edition brought a premier for Romanian televisions – a fragment of the famous musical “We Will Rock You”, on the stage in Brasov. Other performances: Loredana, featuring Lucian Ionescu, Mara Captaru, Bianca Popescu, Vlad Nicolici and other artists from the musical cast, alongside the 12 competition finalists.
