In August 2019, the Romanian magazine Inside Brașov celebrated 15 years of activity. This anniversary caps off the very ambitious endeavor of a few journalists from Brasov who decided to team up and venture on their own in a field that was at its dawn 15 years ago: promoting the cultural and historical heritage of Brașov County, in the country and abroad. The project was supported by four ambassadors of foreign countries in Bucharest, together with whom we produced a brief description of the editorial background and drafted the summary.
NATO Summit
In October 2004, the NATO Summit was held in Poiana Brasov. This event actually was a window of opportunity for Inside Brașov Romania. We printed a special edition, contacted the high NATO and Romanian Government officials, had our magazine accredited and managed to have it included in the foreign delegations’ briefs. The magazine was of interest to the high officials who appreciated the quality of the articles, their translation into several foreign languages, the wealth of information, the high quality layouts and top-quality paper printing, which actually helped us gain a leading market position.
Romanians Everywhere
The “Gathering of Romanians Everywhere”, an event also held in Poiana Brașov, attended by Romanians coming from all over the world, was yet another opportunity for us. One of the guests to this event was ambassador of Romania in Washington, who subsequently sent us an official letter to congratulate, encourage and thank us for what we do and especially for promoting the cultural heritage.
In the EU Parliament
After Romania’s accession to the European Union, Brașov municipality was invited to represent Romania in Brussels. Inside Brașov Romania magazine accompanied the official delegation. We distributed magazines depicting the cultural and historical heritage and promoted multiculturalism. Other events we attended include: international tourism fairs (Berlin, Nurnberg), meetings with the Romanian Royal Family, official foreign delegations, cultural institutions, EU embassies in Bucharest and Romanian embassies abroad.
Congratulations, Inside Brașov Romania on this anniversary and many more to come!
