The ?Style Fair? is a project carried out by Ms. Marcela Cosnean in an old house from Harman after an original idea. This initiative materialized in a special fair twice a month in the courtyard of this house from Harman, at no. 441, across the City Hall.
This is what Mrs. Marcela Cosnean told us about her project: ?The strength of this project is that I can share my joy with other people with the goal to preserve and revive traditions and enrich the place we live in. I also considered giving a change to ecological food producers to express themselves and to people who collect antiquities and want to share these objects with other people by allowing them to exhibit. I also intend to bring forward the ?Baptism? celebration by making a collection of specific clothes for this event, for the Baptism present and special clothing used while baptising. The clothes are personalised, made of natural fabrics, improved with hand embroidery and lace and monogrammed. The creation workshop intends to focus on children?s bedclothes and other necessary clothing for new-born babies.?
Stands of antiquities
Those who participate with stands are carefully chosen and they exhibit unique objects, many of them being valuable antiquities. Every time the fair takes places, the theme changes, thus enhancing the value of the event. Right from the entrance we can feel the surrounding environment of the location. There are plenty of antiquities inside the house. The rooms have a sense of hospitability in the old style with medieval decorations. The place is perfect for spending weekends with good music and unforgettable atmosphere.
At the Vintage & Antique Style Fair there are antiquities stands, bio food and products stands from producers from all over the country. This place is intended to be an ecological space and to encourage those who have such products, but also those who want to taste them.
Marcella Collection
Marcela?s house has a different air because the doors are open to enable visitors to see the fashion workshop where Marcella collections are created. The exhibited pieces are like a magnet: a dress of royal blue brocade, a wedding dress and veil, dresses for different occasions and sophisticated blouses along with rare pieces of hats and purses. Here you can also admire the exhibition of dresses worn by famous persons, for sale at moderate prices for fund raising purposes for the students of the Arts High School Brasov.
Food creations
At each fair, visitors have the possibility to taste gastronomic creations personalised according to the moment, with natural ingredients coming from the locals? personal garden production. For instance, the menu offered at the last fair consisted of: zucchini cream soup with mint and thyme, garlic croutons, Lángos (Hungarian fried bread) specific to the region with cream and spices, cabbage stew with apples (Saxon recipe), cream with spices and garlic and marmalade.
