From the 7th to 9th September at Braşov took place the first edition of ?The Kronstadt Jazz Festival?, organized by the County Council and the Brasov?s Regional Centre of Promoting and Preserving Traditional Culture, in partnership with Sica Alexandrescu Theatre and the ?Days & Nights? revue.
This first edition offered the public a series of three shows, every one of them having something special. The first night belonged to the string instruments, the second ? to the piano, and the last one was Diaspora?s night, but also Anca Parghel?s night, who was celebrated on the occasion of her birthday.
38 artists from 10 countries
Jenny Brăescu, project manager and artistic director, declared: ?I?m very happy for have being able to invite in Brasov the jazz?s fans to a new international jazz festival. Kronstadt Jazz Festival is a new jazz feast brand and I hope it will live long and become one of the traditional cultural events of this town, so it can be included on the European agenda of jazz festivals?. The event brought on the stage 38 artists from 10 countries over 4 continents and has been supported by The Hungarian Cultural Centre in Bucharest and by Polish Institute of Bucharest.
