The County Council Brasov authorized the county counsellor Alexandru Munteanu to sign the collaboration agreement with the Urban Community Montbéliard, stipulating the further start of several activities programs, in various fields of commune interest. The invitation to sign the agreement came from the Montbéliard Community?s president, senator and town?s mayor Louis Souvet. The town is actually an urban agglomeration on the eastern France, at the border with Switzerland.
Waiting for the French Visit
The delegation of Brasov included five persons ? among them the director of the Museum of History Radu Stefanescu, Cornelia Limantovschi ? project manager within the Durable Development Agency of Brasov county and county counsellor Sebastian Grapa. The visit occurred in the period 3-8 July and was meant to define the Montbéliard community?s activity in the institutional field, the public policies administration and management area, economic and touring development, all the fields involved in the durable development of our regions.
The collaboration will be materialized in the occasion of the future visit of the French delegation in Brasov. Fortunately, there are many similarities between the realities of our two regions, so common objectives will be easy to establish.
Synthetic Description
County counsellor Munteanu is able to synthetically describe the two regions: ?Montbéliard is the residential town of Doubs county and Franche-Comté region, in the eastern France. There are almost 28.000 inhabitants, but in the metropolitan area live more than 113.000 inhabitants. Brasov county in the south-eastern Transylvania includes the historical regions Tara Barsei, Tara Fagarasului and the Saxon highland. Almost 600.000 inhabitants populate the county. The collaboration will start common projects in the benefit of both regions?.
