"Snow Flake"



     




In the beginning of winter, the Cultural Association "Viva la Musica" with the support of the County Council Brasov and of the Cultural Centre Reduta organised the 10th edition of the National Festival-Competition for Interpretation and Music Composition for Children "Snow Flake".
The event was organized during November 20th-22nd, at the Cultural Centre Reduta Brasov, and the competitors had to present only first audition songs form children specific repertory.

Songs in Romanian

The first edition of the "Snow Flake" Festival was organized in 2006 and it was a great success from the very beginning.
"It was the first festival of this type and of such importance in Brasov. It was the event to include Brasov in the national circuit of this kind of festivals in the country and remained on of the few competitions in Romania carried out as a complex event for 3 days and where the songs are exclusively Romanian. During these 10 years, hundreds of children from all around the country competed in order to get prizes in the 4 age categories and, of course, the prize" declared Claudia Miritescu, singer/songwriter and Manager of the "Snow Flake" Festival.

Important prizes

The greatest joy of the organizers is that all the winners of the prizes subsequently confirmed their value by getting important prizes in festivals abroad.
Important names of the Romania music supported "Snow Flake" festival during the 9 editions organized so far: Horia Moculescu, Serban Georgescu, Mihai Constantinescu, Tatiana Stepa, Octavian Ursulescu, Dumitru Lupu, Ileana Sipoteanu, Marius Dragomir, Viorel Gavrila, Carmen Radulescu, Marina Florea, Marina Voica, K1, Fara zahar, Simplu, Gheorghe Gheorghiu, Magdalena Puscas, Florin Pretorian, Marian Stere, Mihai Vanica, Simona Secrier, the Manager of TVRM Dumitru Cucu, Eugen Ungureanu, Eniko Bartok Georgescu.

Mistic, Ascensis and Frappe bands from Brasov launched.
"SNOW FLAKE" Festival supports the project "Brasov 2021 European Capital of Culture".
