The final conference DISTRICT +
|

The County Council of Brasov has organized the final conference DISTRICT+, a project made through the INTERREG IVC Program. The project partners have presented the main activities carried out and the obtained results. The leader partner Tuscany Region for the C4 component and the West Midland Region took part in this conference. The Report on KADA research was also delivered during the conference. Mahesh Bhardawj, the ethnic secretary of the INTERREG IVC Program and Marco Tullner, Secretary of State of Saxony-Anhalt Region, also attended the event.
INTERREG IVC
The INTERREG IVC Program is part of the European Territorial Cooperation Goal. This Program helps European regions to work together, to share their knowledge and experience (good practices). Launched in 2007, the Program will be carried out until 2013. The INTERREG IVC Program is co-financed trough the European of Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The general strategic goal of the program is to grow the efficiency of the regional development policies and their contribution to the economic modernization and the strengthening of competitiveness in Europe in the fields of innovation, economy, knowledge, environment and risk prevention by means of interregional cooperation.
Added value
The project will be conducted over a 48-month period (January 2010 ? December 2013).
The partnership is established between 6 regional public authorities, assigned to coordinate the ERDF Regional Operational Program during the period 2007-2013: the Leader Partner of the project - Tuscany (IT); West Midlannds (UK); Saxony (DE); Vastra Gotaland (SE); Lower Silesia (PL) and the County of Brasov (RO). This mixture of regions with regard to convergence (Goal 1) and competitiveness (Goal 2) will increase the added value of the network in terms of impact policy.
